The City of Brooklyn Center requires the licensing of entertainment purposes as defined in Section 23-301 of the Ordinance. Entertainment is defined as recorded music, bands, dance, performance, show, concert, live entertainment, or any other form of entertainment intended to amuse or entertain those in attendance.
A business is allowed no more than three events within a calendar year without first obtaining an entertainment license. Entertainment licenses expire on December 31 in the year for which it was issued. Please review the ordinance for any specifications and/or conditions required.
Upon completion of application, including providing required documentation and fees, the license application shall be presented to the City Council for consideration at their regularly scheduled meeting. The City Council meets the second and fourth Monday of each month. Please allow adequate time for completion of application and Council approval when applying.
