The City of Brooklyn Center requires the licensing of fireworks consumers as defined in Section 19-403 of the Ordinance. The license period is the calendar year, January 1 through December 31.
Upon completion of application, including providing required documentation and fees, the license application shall be presented to the City Council for consideration at their regularly scheduled meeting. The City Council meets the second and fourth Monday of each month. Please allow adequate time for completion of application and Council approval when applying.
It's also important to note that the sale of consumer fireworks in a temporary stand may need to apply for an Administrative Land Use Permit from the Business & Development Department to meet applicable zoning laws and requirements.
