The City of Brooklyn Center does not agree with or endorse every comment that is posted on our pages. Our goal is to share Brooklyn Center news, events and other community content with as many people as possible.
Provided below are examples of content that may be removed by City staff, if inappropriate or incorrect:
- Content that promotes, fosters, or perpetuates discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, marital status, stats with regard to public assistance, national origin, physical or mental disability or sexual orientation;
- Obscene content or links to obscene content;
- Personal attacks, insults, threatening or profane language;
- Plagiarized material;
- Private, personal information published without consent;
- Comments unrelated to the topic of the forum and hyperlinks to material that is not directly related to the discussion;
- Commercial promotions or spam;
- Solicitations or commerce;
- Content that conduct or encourage illegal activity.
Any links that are posted within comments will be reviewed and may be deleted if they are deemed inappropriate based on the above specifications. Please be aware that all comments are subject to disclosure as public records.
Comments may be disabled on public service announcements made through social media, including, but not limited to, matters of public health, public safety, emergency situations, and information that may be sensitive in nature.
