Project Updates
The City of Brooklyn Center is preparing for the full-depth pavement replacement of Humboldt Avenue between 69th and 65th and the mill and overlay of 65th Avenue between Humboldt and Camden.

To address neighborhood safety concerns, reduce traffic delay, and create safer routes to school, the project now includes:
- Three single-lane roundabouts are designed to calm traffic, reduce crashes, and smooth traffic flow. They are located at:
- 69th Ave N and Humboldt Ave N
- Humboldt Ave N and 65th
- 65th Ave N and Dupont Ave
- Pedestrian and bicycle upgrades—high-visibility crosswalks, ADA-compliant curb ramps, curb extensions, and improved sidewalk connections—to make it easier for students to walk and bike to Brooklyn Center High School and Middle School.
- Street rehabilitation and utility replacements within the project limits, extending pavement life and improving underground infrastructure.
Project Schedule
- February 2027: Anticipated Bid Opening
- April 2027: Start Construction
- November 2027: End Construction
